With a focus on providing our customers and business partners a superior search and support experience, we've made a lot of website enhancements to help you navigate and find the products, services, and support you need to keep your operations running efficiently. This post will walk you through the upgraded functionality, step by step.
Search functionality enhanced
Parker’s homepage has a new layout. Now you can find products quicker with upgraded search functionality.
There are several ways to find what you are looking for:
The navigation bar at the top contains the top-level categories. This is the best place to start your search.
Use the search bar at the top-right if you know exactly what you need.
You can also click on any of the icons below the fold for links to Careers, Events, and Featured News.
Note that each link you click on will replace the existing page. With the depth of our website, it’s easy to lose your navigation back to the home page. Clicking on the Parker logo at any time will take you back to the home page.
Product searches, product details, and specifications
Detailed product overviews, technical specifications, and support literature ensure that you find the best solution to fit your needs.
Example 1 - Product Search – In this example, you are in search of an analytical lab on-site, on-demand gas supply/gas generation system for your laboratory equipment and instruments. Start by choosing from the [PRODUCTS] drop-down menu in the top-level navigation menu.
This will take you to the Gas Generators webpage, where you can choose from the categories offered.
You decide on the Hydrogen Gas Generators, available in a wide selection of models and configurations. From that webpage, you decide on the Hydrogen Generators for Fuel Gas, at the top. From that page, clicking on any of the [+] icons open details for Product Specifications, Product Description, Related Documents. There’s also Where to Buy and associated Parts available for purchase.
Clicking on [Where To Buy] takes you to Locate a Distributor. Simply enter your zip code.
On this page, help is always available by contacting Customer Care or via Live Chat.
Example 2 - Product Specifications – In this example, you are in search of a specific hose type. We offer the widest range of specialty, industrial, hybrid and hydraulic hose in the industry, including low pressure, medium pressure and high-pressure pneumatic and hydraulic hoses.
Follow the same approach as the example above--from the [PRODUCTS] drop-down menu at the top-level navigation menu. Choose Hose, Piping, Tubing and T-Slot Framing.
From that page, click on the Hose Category.
Once on that page, you will see that there are a lot of choices for hose and their related parts. After clicking on one, you will navigate through the same scenario as the above example, with Product Specifications, Product Description, Related Documents, Where to Buy and associated Parts available for purchase.
We've also made it easier to configure products with just a few clicks. An updated support section features thousands of CAD files, software and literature downloads, and video demonstrations and tutorials.
Example 3 - Configure – In this example, you are looking for a specific pump. Our range of energy-efficient hydraulic pumps includes displacement models of a variable piston, fixed vane, and fixed-gear pumps.
You choose the Piston Pump category.
Once on that webpage, you notice that things look a little different, with options to configure your selection. You decide on the Medium Pressure Mobile Pumps – P1 Series and click on the [Configure].
With our online configurator, you can build your model code, get 3D models, and 2D dimensional drawings! When your configuration is completed, you can generate the model and drawings. Start by selecting your Attributes.
After configuring your product, the [PROCEED] button turns yellow. You’ve successfully configured your selection. At that point, you will have options to [Find a Distributor] and contact our division manufacturer directly.
You can print and/or email your configuration to yourself or a colleague. You can also download the CAD Drawings + Files and view all the related support documents. At this point, we recommend creating your personal Parker account if you haven’t already done so to manage everything you do with Parker, from your shopping preferences to your application access.
Buy online, compare and purchase now
If you’re ready to buy, many of our products are available for purchase online in the U.S. You can also easily search where to purchase products locally.
You can search for products in two ways -
1. Clicking on the [WHERE TO BUY] from the top-level navigation menu on our home page takes you to the Where to Buy Worldwide webpage. Use this channel to search and locate products that can be shipped directly from our Global Distributor Network, over 13,000 worldwide.
2. Clicking on the [BUY NOW] button. For U.S. products, you also have the ability to compare products side by side before making your final selection. Side by side comparisons can help you understand the options available.
On the Products Available for Online Purchase webpage, click on any of the icons to go directly to the product offerings.
Example 4 - Compare - In this example, you're looking for pneumatic couplings. Start by clicking on the Quick Couplings and Accessories icon as shown above. On this webpage, you choose the [PNEUMATIC COUPLINGS] icon.
To compare pneumatic couplings side by side, simply click on the [Add to Compare] box. You can compare up to four products side by side. After comparing, you can then proceed with your final selection for purchase.
