A Bayside Common Upgrade option is a custom modification which is denoted by a 3-digit number inserted directly in front of the last 2-digits in the base part number of the gearhead. For example, PS90-003-010S2 is a 010 option applied to PS90-003-S2 gearhead. The common upgrade options must be ordered as a custom using the Parker extranet Bayside quote form. The following is a list of the Bayside common gearhead upgrades, and the details of each:
PG AND RA Drop-In Flange for PS and RS Gen II (010) - PS or RS series Gen I or Gen II gearhead mounting flanges are modified to match the old PG or RA mounting flanges. Please refer to the FAQ PG & RA Series Gearhead Specs and Upgrade Option for more details.
PS AND RS Gen 1 Drop-In Flange for PS and RS Gen II (G01) - PS or RS Gen II series gearhead mounting flanges are modified to match PS or RS Gen I mounting flanges.
VACUUM RATED GEARHEADS (V01) - V01 option is rated for operation in vacuums up to 10-6 Torr. Option includes special gearhead lubricant (Nye Torr 5300 grease), stainless steel screws, non-anodized, vented hardware and Viton seals. Higher vacuums may be accommodated as a special custom request. Submit the details/vacuum levels with the quote request.
Clean Room Rated Gearheads (C01) - For cleanroom applications - Class 10000 ppm or higher. Includes stainless steel screws and gearhead is clean room prepped at the factory.
Food Grade (F01) - For food processing applications. Includes Electroless nickel plating of aluminum parts, Viton seals, stainless steel screws, stainless steel access plug to pinion, and RTV to seal mounting kit to motor. Also includes special Tribol 823-1 food grade grease.
Wash Down (W01) - For wash down applications. Includes Electroless nickel plating of aluminum parts, Viton seals, stainless steel screws, stainless steel access plug to pinion, and RTV to seal mounting kit to motor. Includes standard grease rather than gear oil.
Black Anodize (A01) - Price includes black anodize of aluminum parts.
No Lubrication (L02) - Price includes no lubrication. All pre-lubricated parts such as bearings will be ultrasonically washed. No sealed or shielded bearings will be used.
