The AC890 is enabled, and START is true, but the motor runs slow with high torque. Why?

This generally means that the Inverter is in closed-loop vector and the encoder feedback is missing or reversed. Ensure that you have feedback is present on the motor and drive if you are not running in V/Hz mode.

Alternatively if this is a new application with a PMAC motor (or you've changed PMAC motors) the drive may not be commutated correctly. See documentation and additional FAQs in the sidebar to properly commutate the motor.
