- MOTOR CONNECTIONS:
- Make sure the motor is rated for inverter-duty.
- Make sure the stator is properly connected for the voltage provided by the inverter.
- Make sure there are no loose motor connections.
- INVERTER SETTINGS:
- For SV or Closed-loop Mode, make certain the magnetizing current is not set too high.
- b. For V/Hz mode, make sure the boost is not set too high.
- RUNNING CONDITIONS:
- Is there a Blower on this motor?
- Are the blower filters clogged?
- Is there free airflow through the motor?
- What is the ambient temperature?
- Does the motor run below 25% speed for extended periods of time (without forced air cooling)?
- Is the motor running with the motor torque >75% for extended periods of time (without forced air cooling)?
