Homing move not complete

Print Friendly and PDF

Why can I not make motion after my homing move stops?

SYMPTOM:

In some rare cases, the homing complete bit will not be set even though the motion appears to stop. Status bit 5 , going home bit, will be set. Subsequent commands  may get buffered or generate a *E respone, depending on the OS revision.

REMEDY

The symptom is caused by the fact the controllr thins the homing move is still setteling. Please increase the value the EW variable  before you attempt a homing move.

You check current value by typing 1R(EW)

You can chnage value by typing 1W(EW=xx) : where xx is the new desired value.
