P Series Drives (PD-xxP) can be controlled from ACR7xC and ACR9000 controllers using the following cable:
71-032478-xx.....ACR9000 to Pseries (analog and step & direction), 4ft or 10ft
The cable supports both torque and step/direction mode operation. Other signals included:
ACR9000 | P Drive | I/O Assignment | |
---|---|---|---|
Drive Enable | SV_ON | Servo On | In 1 |
Drive Reset | A_RST | Alarm Reset | In 4 |
Drive Fault | ALARM | Out 1 | |
BRAKE | Out 3 |
I/O assignment matches drive default settings.
Three external leads are provided to connect the required 24VDC source for the drive I/O:
Blue | +24 VDC |
White w/ Blue | 0 VDC |
Black | Output to Brake Relay |
The brake output only needs to be used if the motor has a brake. Otherwise, terminate it and fold it back along the cable to prevent it from shorting. Do not connect the brake output directly to a brake as it is intended to be connected to a brake relay instead. More details on brake usage can be found in this Knowledge Base article:
