How can I upgrade a 590+ Frame 1 or 2 drive version 5.x or 7.x to version 8.x?

This document will explain how to upgrade a 590+ Frame 1 or Frame 2 with firmware v5.x or v7.x to a v8.x. control board, and migrating the configuration. This is not a firmware update for an existing control board. This is an entire replacement of the control board to upgrade to a newer major revision, on the Frame 1 and 2 that utilizes the control "cradle" design.

• To update to newer minor revisions of firmware use the DSELite software.
• To update to newer major revisions of firmware, you must replace the control board.
