How do I connect to an AC10 using a generic RS485 device, and PDB?

PDB IS NO LONGER SUPPORTED TO CONNECT TO THE AC10. IT WILL NOT WORK WITH MODERN FIRMWARE.

PLEASE UTILIZE DSELite FOR NEW APPLICATIONS.

Equipment Needed

AC10 drive, RS232 to RS485 converter, PDB.

Procedure

  1. Connect RS485 converter.

    NOTE: The 120 Ohm resistor must be removed to work with PDB but must be in to work with TS8000 (HMI) communications.
  2. Set up the computer's COM port.

  • Set AC10 protocol.
