The AC10 may be configured to run at two different speeds without using an analog input. This is a common setup when having to replace the obsolete AC650 drive families with an AC10.
For this application a customer wanted:
- The motor to run at 75 Hz until it reached a limit switch (a digital input trigger), then slow down to 4 Hz
- The motor to also be reversible
- No analog inputs to be used
Base Connections:
- DI1 = Run at 75 Hz
- DI2 = Reverse Direction
- DI3 = Run at 4 Hz (Initiated by a limit switch in this example -- This can be any digital input)
The configuration below uses the Minimum Frequency block. When active, the drive will run at it's minimum set frequency until you want it to ramp up to an alternative running speed (or vice versa). Effectively running the drive in two different speeds based on a single digital input, without any analog signal.
