The XTA hardware uses the newer SD and SDHC flash cards that is the boot drive of the unit.
The card must remain in the XTA to run the application. There is no other internal storage.
It comes with a 2GB SD but can recognize up to a 32 GB SD/SDHC card. Unlike the older Compact Flash (CF) cards, most SD/SDHC cards 2-32GB can be used.
To use a new card or repair an existing card, you need to run the utility for the XT that is in the folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Parker\Interact Xpress Manager\Utilities\XT
This can not be done while the card is in the unit. To get to the card, there is a panel on the back of the unit held on by two screws.
Once that is removed, you will see the SD card which extracts by pushing straight in on the card and a spring will pop it out of the socket.
Put the card in a SD card reader attached to your development PC and note the drive letter it shows up as. (Don't want to format the wrong drive)
Run the Flashback and when asked, point it to the drive letter of the SD card.
Once formatted, you can also download your application straight to the card while it is in the reader.
In the Remote window of the Xpress Manager, hit the Refresh button or do a mouse right click and refresh if it is not showing the drive.
Highlight the drive letter on the right, the application to download on the left and hit the right arrow to download to the drive letter.
Put the card back in the XT and it will stop and set the XT unit name the first time it boots. If you are using an Ethernet driver, it requires the Ethernet settings to be entered since formatting the card wipes out all of the original settings.
And you are done.
