READING MOTOR PARAMETERS FROM MPP/MPJ SERVO MOTORS WITH THE NEW 4B OPTION BISS-C ENCODER INTO DRIVE SUPPORT TOOL (DST)
The MPP/MPJ series motors are now available with the 4B option, which is the BiSS-C multi-turn absolute encoder with lower price than previous generation EnDat.
The BiSS-C encoders are compatible with the IPA servo drive controller, new ACR7000 multi-axis servo and the P series drives.
Note when using Drive Support Tool software, default motor parameters are loaded. To upload from the motor/encoder into DST, click the bottom at the motor screen.
These values are hard-coded into the P series drive firmware based on the Motor ID and the P series drive will need the latest firmware for use with the MPP with the 4B option.
