InteractX Browser Tool uses the Windows Explorer browser library.
To display PDF Files or Flash Player applications such as Xpress and PFD, it relies on the plug-ins installed in Windows for the Internet Explorer.
If your application is running on one of the Parker HMIs and is not receiving Windows / installed programs updates there will be no change in operation.
If the HMIs are receiving Windows updates and Adobe Flash Player updates, the Adobe flash Player will be affected.
Depending on the version of Windows and frequency of updates, Flash Player will stop working.
The browser tool will no longer connect to Xpress or PFD after Flash Player is disabled.
InteractX has no ongoing development and is no longer being updated.
There will be no upgrades to InteractX that will allow the existing browser to work.
There is a work around to be able to view Xpress and PFD units using the "Load Program" Action Button.
The load program action can be used to start the Parker Remote Browser released along side the new Xpress 4.2 which use a Parker Specific Flash Player.
The information and download links for Xpress 4.2 and the Parker Remote Browser can be found in the following FAQ.
Xpress 4.2 and Parker Remote Browser Download
Programs loaded with the "Load Program" Action Button open a new Window over the top of the application screen of InteractX.
If you have someone who knows how to program in VBA, the program can also be loaded and closed using the VBA programming included in InteractX
