ACR74T Stepper Power Supply Sizing

The ACR74T is powered from 24volts. Power supplies vary based on power and current output.

The power required for an ACR74T depends upon the size of the motors, the motors' shaft power and the control power.

Warning! Do not just add the motor phase currents together. This will result in an unnecessarily oversized power supply.  As an example, an ACR74T with 4 eCLM step motors (S232F, S173F, S113F, S083F) requires 69watts (2.9A). Adding the phase current would be over 8A, almost 3times bigger than necessary.
