All Gemini drives with exception of the GV-H40 can be run on a DC voltage instead of a AC voltage.
For the L3 drive, the DC voltage must be between 135 VDC and 187 VDC to the L1 and N terminals (L1 = +, N = -). To duplicate the standard curves in the Catalog, the user must supply 170 VDC.
For the U drives, the DC voltage must be between 135 VDC and 373 VDC to the L1 and L2 terminals (L1=+, L2=-). To duplicate the standard curves in the Catalog, the user must supply 170 VDC for 120 VAC curves and 340 VDC for 240 VAC curves.
For the H20 drive, the DC voltage must be between 233 VDC and 373 VDC to the L1 and L2 terminals (L1 = +, L2 = -). To duplicate the standard curves in the Catalog, the user must supply 340 VDC. Also, since the DC supply is single phase, the catalog curves will need to be derated since they are 3 phase curves. See the GV or GV6 hardware installation guide for the appropriate derate.
The GV-H40 can't be supplied DC voltages because it has a three phase AC input only.
Do not try this with the VBUS+ and VBUS- terminals as it is not the same thing.
