Manual Alignment Procedure

For using non-Parker motors with the Aries drives, if you do not know the motor, hall and encoder phasing or are not sure, you can use the below manual alignment procedures to determine the proper motor and hall wiring.

Aries AR-xxAE or AR-xxSE Manual Alignment

AriesEPL AR-xxPE Manual Alignment

AriesController AR-xxCE Manual Alignment


For an Aries ARxx-AE with an ACR9000, to turn on the hardware enable output use these commands in the terminal:
DRIVE OFF AXIS0
CLR 8468 ;This disables Drive I/O
REN AXIS0 ;This resets the commanded position to the encoder position.
SET 40 ;This forces on Drive Enable Output 0.

Then the above Alignment Procedure can be done.
After, type in the terminal:
CLR 40 ;This disables the Drive Enable Output 0.
SET 8468 ;This enables Drive I/O.

On enable from the ACR9000 the encoder position is reset.
For other axis add 32 to 8468 and add 1 to 40. ie, Axis1 would be 8500 for Drive I/O, 41 for Drive Enable output.
For Axis3, 8564 and 43.
