An OEM350X/650X/750X can easily be converted to an OEM350/650/750.
Before doing the following procedure please note:
*Be sure to use proper grounding so that you do not statically charge and damage the board(s).
*If the boards are damaged by static charge or other means while doing this, those damages will not be cover under warranty.
The procedure is;
1)Remove the plastic cover.
2)Careful detach indexer card by lifting away from the drive card.
3)Intall jumpers on the first five positions(top being 1st postion) of the J4 (J3 on the OEM750/OEM750X) connector.
(If you look at the component side of the board the heatsink should be on the left and the 25 pin D connector will be at the top right. The J4 (J3 on the OEM750/OEM750X) connector is right up against the backside of the 25 pin D connector. The Jumper should be placed horizonally shorting the pins from left to right.)
4)Re-install plastic cover.
Remember the 25 pin D-connector pinout has changed to that of the OEM350/650/750 (see user guide for details).
The Jumper Shunts necessary will depend on the revision of the drive and indexer board. Please verify the type of connection you have prior to installing the shunts:
