Hello, We have two drives in each of our machine 2 AC890's of two sizes, we have spares of each drive so when one fails we put it in and use the spare and get hold of another. The ones in it are the blue type v1.10 firmware, the new drives are the STO version 3.12. from the technical help we received I downgraded the firmware of the new drives to a v1.14 which would then let me send the old program we have using DSE890 which is great, but in the process I have changed the old style drive from v1.10 to v1.14 and it is coming up in horsepower and not working with the program. could anyone send me the link or download for just firmware version 1.10 for the 890 as it is not in the DSE890 software.
When you mean that the drive is coming up in HP are you referring to the startup screen on the keypad that displays the power level, voltage, and firmware. If so, a three button reset (this is only possible with larger keypad part number 6901) will let you set the P-code to the correct power level, frequency input, and language of the keypad. This procedure is also outlined in the product manual.
Thanks for getting back to my question. The drive was originally on v1.10, I upgraded 2 new drives and our old drive to v1.14 so I could send the existing project as it would not send to v3.12. I probably should have left the older drive at v1.10 as I have sent the program and it does not work, and the drive creeps etc. Then I looked at the screen/ keypad and it is now in hp, and a higher voltage etc. not sure if these setting are the problem or if it is because I have put a higher version in the drive which it cannot have, so I just wanted to get it back to v1.10. do you know if there is a place with old versions available for download?
The firmware that we have available is the firmware that is in DSE Lite or DSE890. This is because older firmware might have bugs that have been fixed in the newer versions of the firmware. The latest version of 1.X firmware should be available in the software. You can also install your original 1.10 template into the newest 1.X firmware.
The change to a different P-Code probably arose from doing a full install instead of an install. This can be fixed as i mentioned in the above post through a three button reset.
