Im attempting to use a Parker MX80L with a ViX250IH motor driver. Im interfacing it via LabVIEW by sending commands over the serial port. This was working fine for a period of time, but randomly the drive started to throw out an error when i attempted to drive it in the negative direction. I replicated this error when sending commands with the Easi-V software.
Without any modification of the drive this error fixed its self, and then came back again. I've attempted to reset the drive setup a number of time, but this doesn't appear to have done anything. When I run the "Drive 1: Status" command I sometimes get an Error (PE) appearing, currently it is error code -1. Additional the user fault bit number 13 is set high ("End of travel limit hit").
I have successfully control the drive previously using the displacement control. Since I want to use this drive for preforming cyclic testing up to a specific position, I can only use displacement control.
Is there any easy method that can be used to fix this issue. There is another motor driver in my lab, which I might be able to borrow to see if the issue is with the driver.
Thanks for you help.
