Hello Sir,

i have a Dc drive Parker 590+ , this drive was version 7 and i had a backup from it's configuration. but it destroyed and i forced to replace it's CPU's board. now i want to download the backup to the drive but it sends "version error", it seems now the drive version is 8 and i can not load version 7 to 8. please send a solution for me to change my backup to version 8.

    Hello Hosein,

What "Version Error" are you getting? I would need to some more detail, or the exact words you are seeing to determine what the issue may be.

If you are in DSELite with your version 7 configuration file you should be able to connect to the new version 8 drive via the keypad port and download your template. You will be presented with a warning, but not an actual error. The warning can be ignored, and the download will complete. Ensure your motor data is implemented, run an autotune, and you should be good to go moving forward (always test functionality to ensure everything took properly).

If you're trying to flash firmware, you can not download major revisions of firmware to different major revisions of the control board due to hardware/firmware interactions.

i think it needs to explain again the problem. i have two drive in two process that these are exactly the same.

one of them is version 7 that works properly. other one is version 8 but doesnt work. i want to backup form 7 and install to 8. but it was not successful. it seems something is wrong in the process extracting from first one and installation to another one. i used DSELite.

also i didnt have any error from extracting from version 7 in template 8 and installing to version 8. i checked the PLC side but everything is ok and the same.

    please give me a solution.

    very thanks & best regards.

Just making sure our terminology is clear, you are not able to download.. but are not getting a fault to appear. There is some sort of error preventing you from downloading, correct?

In DSELite there is a "ScratchPad" window at the bottom of the environment. When you connect to the new drive, what process are you following?

You need to disconnect from the first drive, then connect to the second. You will then need to reconnect in DSELite. Possibly requiring to close DSELite, connect your cable to the second drive, and reopening DSELite. The software checks all of it's ports at software startup.

    What does that ScratchPad say?
