i want to ask question about my DC drive model 590+. my question is, why capacitor on firing card always blow (0.003 u farad) ? but dc drive and motor still can run
At first thought, its a noise prevention capacitor that is not required for operation; however there are many capacitors on all components on the drive. I have many questions to try and narrow this down.
thank yo for your reply
i think your answer correct, it is noise prevention capacitor. DC motor still can run when this capacitor faulty/ burned. my question is
1) what is function this capacitor? just to filter noise or harmonic?
2) why this capacitor always blow/burned?
To answer your questions I also need more information:
1) I am unsure. I don't have pictures of the specific capacitor you're looking at, and I would be unable to disclose proprietary information about the circuitry and specific functionalities of tiny individual components.
2) Please answer my initial questions and that may tell me more to assist with troubleshooting.
let me answer your question
I would need a picture of the capacitor on the drive that you are seeing to see the visible burn marks.
We would not advise replacing small electronic components on the drive in the field.
With something this obscure I am unable to determine the initial cause without being able to replicate the issue while at the drive. In any event, burn and physical damage is not good. Advisement is to send the drive back on an RMA (repair process) so we can determine what went wrong.
email@example.com can be used for technical inquiries and is the best way to reach us for something like this.
Please be descriptive with what you are seeing.
I will be responding to your email with distributors in your area to setup an RMA (a repair process). So please also provide your zipcode or the country you are currently in so I may provide that contact.
