    Hello Muhammad,

At first thought, its a noise prevention capacitor that is not required for operation; however there are many capacitors on all components on the drive. I have many questions to try and narrow this down.

    1. Can you provide a detailed explanation of what capacitor you're seeing and on what part?
    2. Do you see a part number for the board it is on?
    3. Does the drive throw any faults or trips on the keypad?
    4. Have you tried replacing it and seeing it explode again and again? Advisement is to not replace small components in the field.
    5. Has this drive been repaired at a Parker-authorized repair house recently? If the repair was done by a 3rd party it could have been repaired incorrectly, as to why you see this issue occur multiple times.
    6. How do you know the capacitor is blowing? Is there physical damage visible? Can you provide a picture for us.

    hi sir,

    thank yo for your reply

i think your answer correct, it is noise prevention capacitor. DC motor still can run when this capacitor faulty/ burned. my question is

    1) what is function this capacitor? just to filter noise or harmonic?

    2) why this capacitor always blow/burned?

    Hello Muhammad,

To answer your questions I also need more information:

    1) I am unsure. I don't have pictures of the specific capacitor you're looking at, and I would be unable to disclose proprietary information about the circuitry and specific functionalities of tiny individual components.

    2) Please answer my initial questions and that may tell me more to assist with troubleshooting.

    2. Do you see a part number for the board it is on? - NO
    3. Does the drive throw any faults or trips on the keypad?-NO.
    4. Have you tried replacing it and seeing it explode again and again? Advisement is to not replace small components in the field.- YES, I TRIED TO REPLACE, TEST RUN CAPACITOR IN GOOD CONDITION
    5. Has this drive been repaired at a Parker-authorized repair house recently? If the repair was done by a 3rd party it could have been repaired incorrectly, as to why you see this issue occur multiple times.- NEVER REPAIR
    6. How do you know the capacitor is blowing? Is there physical damage visible? Can you provide a picture for us. - YES, PHYSICAL DAMAGE, BURN AND PRODUCE SMOOKE ON CAPACITOR.

    Muhammad,

I would need a picture of the capacitor on the drive that you are seeing to see the visible burn marks.

We would not advise replacing small electronic components on the drive in the field.

With something this obscure I am unable to determine the initial cause without being able to replicate the issue while at the drive. In any event, burn and physical damage is not good. Advisement is to send the drive back on an RMA (repair process) so we can determine what went wrong.

emn_support@parker.com  can be used for technical inquiries and is the best way to reach us for something like this.

Please be descriptive with what you are seeing.

I will be responding to your email with distributors in your area to setup an RMA (a repair process). So please also provide your zipcode or the country you are currently in so I may provide that contact.
