One question about changing "speed feedback select" in Speed loop of 590C DC drive firmware version v4.x, but can apply also for v8.x.
We have DC motor with incremental encoder 1000 lines 24VDC and Parker 590DC drive with encoder card. Motor is for winder, speed regulation is very important. "Speed feedback select" in Speed loop is Encoder, what is normal.
But encoder broke down, we did not have spare and tried to change "Speed feedback select" from Encoder to ARM VOLTS FBK to use internal circuitry to derive the speed feedback and do not need external card. This is only we changed, nothing else. What happened is that at A7 speed feedback values changed for example from 0.7-1.1V what is not acceptable for winding application, and did not work.
Should I have done autotune or/and adjust speed loop parameters to this work better? I am not sure that ARM VOLTS FBK is good for winding, I read in Parker 590 manual but I do not know, maybe someone knows?
Thanks in advance,
