The AC10 advised method to communicate to the AC10 is with the 1002-00 module. The module can be used as both an USB/RS485 converter to communicate to the AC10 with DSELite, and capable of cloning parameters to/from the drive with flash memory.
The module supplies a 5V signal when connecting the AC10 to a PC so AC mains is not required to connect to the drive.
The following AC10 firmware is compatible with DSE Lite:
- IP20 Frames 1-5 with firmware 2.00, 2.27, 2.31, 2.32 or later
- IP20 Frames 6-12 with firmware 3.27 and 3.31 or later
- IP66 All Frames: 4.27 and 4.31 or later
Using the clone module as a serial converter to communicate to the AC10.
To enable communication you must set the following parameters in the drive:
F900 = Inverter Address, range 1 - 255. Recommended setting is 1.
F901 = Modbus Mode. 1 = ASCII mode, 2 = RTU mode. Set to 2.
F903 = Parity Check. 0 = no check, 1 = Odd parity, 2 = Even parity. Set to 0.
F904 = Baud Rate = 9600, Set to 3.
F905 Timeout period 0 - 3000 seconds.
If the inverter has not received a communication from the PC the duration of the time set, the A10 will trip on CE. Setting F905 to 0.0 seconds will disable the timeout alarm.
