We are using a Parker actuator (drawing of which can be provided if needed) along with a MTS servovalve to run shake table. On obtaining the frequency response experimentally, two peaks are observed. One at the oil-column frequency of the system, and one at a lower frequency of 15Hz. I was wondering if someone could provide more insight on why the peak at 15Hz exists and how to eliminate the same.
Have you figured this out? Can you provide some info on your cylinder size (bore, stroke, rod) and info about your cylinder plumbing. Is the manifold connected directly to the cylinder?
We are still working on this issue. The bore size is 2.5in, 3in stroke length, and 1in is the rod dia. Lines go from a 100 gpm MTS HSM290 hydraulic service manifold (AN-12 fittings) to a 15 gpm 252.25C manifold.
