Following are directions for addressing a PHD display showing up in the network and adaptor settings, but the application transfer failing.
The main cause is due to the IP address not being set correctly. There are two methods to set the IP address for the PHD displays.
1. Using SetIP application provided by Parker.
First step is to install the USB driver for the PHD. Once this is successfully installed, connect the PHD Display via USB to your computer and run the SetIP. This application is provided with the PHD packager. SetIP sets the address to “Obtain an IP address automatically.”
2. If the Automatic method does not work for you, you can set the IP address manually.
This method must be reset if a different type of PHD is being programmed (e.g. PHD70 to a PHD50).
This example shows the steps for Windows 7, but similar settings exist for other Windows versions.
Go to the Control Panel and then click on Network and Internet Settings. Then select “Change adapter settings.”
Locate the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) item in the list displayed in the Properties window by scrolling down and then clicking on the item. Next, click the Properties button to open the TCP/IP Properties window.
Next set the IP address and subnet mask as shown in the image below.
If you are changing the type of PHD being programmed, you’ll get a notice asking confirmation to move the IP address to a new device.
Once the IP address is set, try transferring the application again using PHD packager.
